Jonathan Henderson, MD

Dr. Henderson earned a Bachelor of Science Degree at LSU in Baton Rouge in microbiology. After receiving his M.D. at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, he completed his internship and residency in Urology at LSUMC Hospital. Dr. Henderson spent the next six years in practice in Alabama where he pioneered urologic laparoscopy.

In 2002, Dr. Henderson was asked to return to Shreveport to join the nascent Regional Urology. Currently, he serves Regional Urology as Chief Executive Officer.

Dr. Henderson is certified by the American Board of Urology. He is a member of the American Urologic Association (and sits on many committees for that organization), Shreveport Medical Society, Louisiana State Medical Society, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.  He has been on the LUGPA Board of Directors since 2011 and is currently serving as President.

     

Gordon A. Brown, DO

Board certified by the American Osteopathic Association, Dr. Gordon Brown completed a uro-logic oncology fellowship at the UTMD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.  He special-izes in the treatment of prostate cancer and serves as Director of Delaware Valley Urology’s Center for Advanced Therapeutics and Program Director of Urologic Surgery at Rowan Univer-sity School of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Brown has been practicing urology over ten years.

     

Lawrence Karsh, MD, FACS

Dr. Karsh is a Certified Principal Investigator and the primary investigator of research studies at TUCC. He graduated from the Chicago Medical School and completed his General Surgical training at The University of Colorado Health Sciences Center under Dr. Thomas Starzl. He completed his Urology residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School under Dr. Ruben Gittes. He is a co-founder of The Urology Center of Colorado where he serves as an attending Urologist, Director of Research & Co-Chairman of Advanced Therapeutic Clin-ic. He has been the principle investigator for over 250 clinical trials.

Dr. Karsh has authored a number of peer-reviewed publications and serves on the editorial boards for Oncology Live, Urologist and Cancer Care, and Bladder Cancer. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and an active member AUA, SUO, ASCO, SWOG, ACS, and the Denver Academy of Surgeons. He served on the bladder cancer subcommittee and the advi-sory board for the SUO Clinical Trials Consortium from 2010-2020. He is a member of the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN) Think Tank.

Dr. Karsh completed his General Surgery training at The University of Colorado Health Scienc-es Center (UCHSC) and his Urology residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. He is an associate clinical professor of surgery at UCHSC. Dr. Karsh serves as an advisor and consultant to the pharmaceutical industry, participating in drug development and research protocols. He educates physicians about newly approved therapies and he teaches at scientific meetings throughout the country.

In his spare time, Dr. Karsh is an avid road bicycler and skier.
