LUGPA Committees APM Steering Committee Provides oversight for the development of urology specific APMs to allow urology groups to engage in value-based care programs. Center of Excellence provides opportunities for groups to obtain certification in female pelvic health. Communications advises on the publication of relevant information on issues relevant to the independent practice of urology and provides oversight for weekly member communication (Media Monitor) as well as providing input into the website. Education plans and develops programming for LUGPAOnSite, CME programming, Virtual Crossfire, and UroCareLive. Health Policy advises the Board of Directors about health policy initiatives impacting independent group practice and analyzes major legislative and regulatory actions to assure the best interests of independent urology and patients. LUGPAForward provides resources and networking to residents and young urologists in independent practice. Membership recruits new member groups and serves as the review process for member applications. This committee requires urgent action on emailed applications. “Playbook” Task Force selects topics and engages thought leaders to assist group practices in navigating the existing and future challenges of the health care landscape through the development of future editions of LUGPA’s Guidebook, Practice Management for Urology Groups. Political Affairs acts as LUGPA’s increasingly influential voice in Washington. Represents LUGPA membership through grassroots efforts by facilitating meetings between lawmakers and members. Practice Administrators engages practice administrators in networking, exchanging ideas and information, and developing resources for member groups. Practice Management Benchmarking aggregates member group’s data so they can measure their performance against that of others across a host of metrics, giving feedback to elevate their performance.
