Record-Breaking Attendance at 2025 Urology Resident Summit  

The 2025 Urology Resident Summit and Job Fair proved to be a resounding success, achieving its highest attendance ever. With a total of 212 participants, the event welcomed 92 urology residents, 59 LUGPA practice members, 49 industry representatives, and 10 esteemed faculty members.

This year's enhanced agenda offered an expanded lineup of educational sessions and networking opportunities, providing invaluable insights and practical knowledge to residents preparing for their transition to full-time practice.

The expanded panel discussions were a highlight of the summit, featuring dynamic conversations about various practice types, strategies for navigating physician contracts, and realistic expectations for a resident's first year in practice. These sessions were well-received by attendees, who gained critical insights to support their career planning and decision-making.

Another notable addition was the LUGPA Practices Showcase, where leading urology practices shared key insights into the recruitment process. Attendees received direct advice on standing out as a candidate, providing a valuable glimpse into what recruiters prioritize during the hiring process.

"We consider this year, a grand slam!" said Jason Farr, Vice President, Provider Recruitment at Solaris Health. "We have around 30 engaged candidates now that we didn't have from before this weekend. Incredible!" 

This year's program also dedicated additional time for networking in the exhibit hall. This extension allowed residents to connect more meaningfully with LUGPA practice leaders, industry representatives, and their fellow residents. The opportunity to engage in deeper conversations ensured attendees maximized their connections during the event.

To cap off a productive summit, residents, faculty, and industry partners gathered at the hotel's outdoor beer garden for a relaxed social event on Saturday evening. This informal setting provided an enjoyable space for continued networking and camaraderie.

Recognizing the financial challenges residents may face, LUGPA continued its commitment to supporting participants by covering travel-related expenses and providing complimentary two-night stays at the venue hotel. This effort underscores LUGPA’s dedication to ensuring access to this invaluable educational and networking experience.
