LUGPA 2021 Annual Meeting:
Re-imagining the Practice of Urology
November 11-13, 2021
Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile Hotel

After more than a year of being apart we are excited that we can come together in person for the LUGPA 2021 Annual Meeting: Re-imagining the Practice of Urology to learn, exchange ideas and to celebrate the accomplishments and sustainable changes that independent practices of urology implemented as result of the pandemic. This year’s Annual Meeting is LUGPA’s most important event - with three days of education and networking available for our constituents: urologists, advanced practice providers, administrators, managers, and healthcare industry supporters.

This premiere event begins on Thursday, November 11, with a customized day of programming on practice management and a half-day of continuing medical education on state-of-the-art topics in patient care and latest research in urology.  In addition, workshops will be offered for medical directors, research coordinators, advanced practice providers, lab managers and directors, and practices that provide radiation/oncology services. The day will conclude with a Welcome Reception and the LUGPA Forward After-Hours Reception.

On Friday, November 12, the meeting will open with remarks from Program Committee Chair Scott Sellinger, MD, and an update from LUGPA President Jonathan Henderson, MD, followed by LUGPA’s Health Policy Forum and a Q & A session with political analyst and former New York U.S. representative, Joe Crowley. Attendees will gain insights from LUGPA practices on how they implemented and sustained changes as a result of the pandemic during a roundtable session.  The Practice Benchmarking Update will provide information on useful comparative productivity and financial and quality metrics, followed by Don Yaeger who will talk about the value of teamwork and building a “great” organizational culture. Our healthcare industry supporters will also be available in the exhibit hall throughout the program to answer questions and to network during the reception that will close the day.

The meeting will resume on Saturday morning, November 13 with remarks and recap by Dr. Sellinger, followed by LUGPA Forward’s panel on “Strategies to Recruit Female Urologists to your Practice.”   After the LUGPA Forward panel, there will be sessions covering topics on developing new service lines, reputation management, partner transition options and the ever-popular “open-mic” with facilitator Dr. Richard Harris. Finally, the Annual Meeting Keynote Dr. Drew Pinsky, (“Dr. Drew”) will inspire us as the program concludes.
